Summary A player development program which aims to show coaches and players the basic fundamentals of tennis stroke production. An explanation of the basic concepts of biomechanics as they relate to stroke production, and how they apply to various shots is given. Paul Roetert comments on the biomechanical concepts, and coaches including Dick Saviano and Lynne Rolley explain their direct application to tennis strokes. The biomechanical concepts covered include Kinetic link principle, the laws of motion and inertia, linear and angular momentum, dynamic balance and the law of acceleration. These are applied to service, return of service, groundstrokes, the transition game, and net play. The strokes are demonstrated by tennis players and footage of elite players is used to illustrate various aspects of the strokes
